If roses tried to be sunflowers, they would lose their beauty; and if sunflowers tried to be roses, they would lose their strength.
Sunflower heart necklace:
This Sunflower heart took forever to make but it was worth it! I spent roughly 1500 minutes or 25 hours to finish this necklace, not to mention months of crunching the gears in my brain to make it “better”.
The first version — scrapped.
Introducing: the Sunflower Heart of Ann.
A custom, reversible OOAK Popnicute Heart, the matching necklace to the sunflower earrings I posted yesterday. Picture shows both sides of the necklace.
This is a pretty close rendition to the sketch I drew with several changes/additions that were made in the spot like the silver loop connectors, the 3D petals, and the loop-de-loop row at the bottom.
Some things just begged you to be creative beyond the drawing. There are sooooo many soldering and fusing sessions happening. Lots of swearing and praying to not melt anything. I didn’t count but you can guess by how many individual elements there are in this piece.
I gave my best, my heart and my soul to create this piece to bring Ann’s dream jewelry to life. She wore this necklace and the earrings on her graduation day in July. Now, she’s officially taken the Dr title in front of her name. A smart, compassionate woman like her deserves only the best!
The necklace can be worn long or short with the help of the Magical S-Clasp Necklace Converter.
Check out this unboxing video that she sent me!
She also left me some nice words on Facebook & Instagram!
A collection inspired by this heart necklace is going to launch on
OCTOBER 15
Limited release. VIPs get to shop an hour earlier than everyone else.
Sunflower earrings:
These Sunflower earrings were created for the same person as the Sunflower heart necklace as a matching piece. Ann, whom I only know online, has been a supporter for Popnicute Jewelry in the last 10 years I’ve been in business.
Pretty sure she was still in high school when we first became acquainted on deviantArt more than a decade ago… And now she just completed her doctorate degree!! I’m just beaming with pride for her! What an achievement! Big congrats to Ann!
My art pieces traveled to her, first to New Zealand, now to the UK. My jewelry went far to more places than I’ve ever been to.
